When enabling Author Archives, the author page has error

    Hello,

    When I click on my name in one of my posts I get this error message: “Oops! That Page Can’t Be Found.
    It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try a search?”

    I checked RankMath and this is what I have: Admin page > Titles & Meta > Authors > Author Archives: set to Enabled. I also cleared cache.

    This is also showing under my profile: “NOINDEX ROBOTS META IS ENABLED
    This page will not appear in search results. You can disable noindex in the Advanced tab.”

    How do I get my profile to be indexed so that I can see my author bio page?

    I apologize for the issue you are facing with your author page not being indexed despite enabling Author Archives in Rank Math. To resolve this, please follow these steps:

    1. Go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta → Authors → Author Archives.
    2. Ensure that the Author Archives are set to Enabled.
    3. Check the Author Robots Meta settings. If it is set to NOINDEX, you need to change it to INDEX to allow search engines to index your author page.
    4. Save the changes by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking on the Save Changes button.

    If you are unable to find the Advanced Tab in the Rank Math Metabox, you may need to switch to the advanced mode. You can do this by following these steps:

    1. Go to Rank Math SEO → Dashboard.
    2. Enable the advanced mode from the settings.
    3. Once in the advanced mode, ensure that the Robots Meta is set to INDEX for your author page.

    Could you please share the post so we can check the URL as well?

    Meanwhile, you may try temporarily deactivating the Rank Math plugin and checking your author URLs.

    Please note that all of the data you have already configured in Rank Math are saved in your database, so there shouldn’t be any data loss upon doing so.
