What does marking a post a pillar content do?

    Hi Team,

I have started a new blog and have marked one of the posts as Pillar content, the reason being is that it branches off into many other articles relevant to itself.

However, what is the purpose of actually marking it as pillar content and just leaving it?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

A pillar content is the basis on which a topic cluster is built. A pillar content covers all aspects of the topic on a single page, with room for more in-depth reporting in more detailed cluster blog posts that hyperlink back to the pillar content.

You can read more about it here: https://www.semrush.com/blog/building-high-performing-content-pillars/

Also, I would suggest going through this on how Rank Math can help in SEO: https://rankmath.com/kb/pillar-content-internal-linking/

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you
