Video sitemap for WordPress question?

    Hello,

    We are in the process of adding a video sitemap to our websites but before doing the dev work to implement, I’m researching the Rankmath plug in and having a hard time confirming whether or not it will work for the way we host our videos.

    We are using WordPress (v5.9 currently) and our videos are hosted on JWPlayer with short codes on the sites to embed the videos. We use the JWPlayer plug-in for wordpress as well.

    I’ve serached the knowledge base and have not been able to find any documentation making be think either way that it will or will not work.

    Can you confirm whether or not detecting videos hosted in JWPlayer OVP is supported for the Rankmath SEO plug in, or if there is a way to support our setup?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

    To generate the video sitemap, your posts/pages that contain video content should have a video schema assigned.

    However, since you are working on shortcodes, Rank Math may not be able to detect them so the plugin can automatically generate a video schema.

    The video content should contain an iframe or video tag inside the post_content so Rank Math can generate a video schema effectively.
