URL despite noindex, nofollow, etc. in Google Index

    Hey there. How is it possible that a website that runs under RankMath and the imprint page is on noindex from the beginning is still findable in the Google index? I wanted to delete the URL via the webmaster console… But there I get the message that it was allegedly never crawled before. But in the index it’s still to find. How can that be? What can I do so that this page disappears from the Google Index?
    Since my customer runs this project as a sideline and she is a teacher, she would like to avoid that her name and address can be found via Google. Out of respect for her expressed desire for privacy, I am putting the link concerning this problem in the box that is only visible to staff members of Rank Math.

    I can confirm that the page is set to noindex which makes this very odd. Please note that the search engine should be able to detect this tag the next time it crawls your site. You can also ask Google to remove this post from the index by following these steps: https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/6349986?hl=en

    Hey Michael,

    super… many, many thanks for your support. I asked Google for deletion and the URL is now out of the index. Thanks a lot for this valuable tip. I already knew this tool, but I couldn’t find the link anymore. I saved the link right away. How is it possible that a page that is on noindex still ends up in the Google index?

    Well, Google does sometimes weird things, and also as every software, their Google bot might have sometimes errors, as this one, were it shouldn’t index it.
