Twitter ignoring Summary Card with Large Image - Support

Hi there,

I really find your plugin helpful however I have issues when posting an article on Twitter. Unfortunately the Rank Math social media setting to use cards with a large image for Twitter is being ignored.

Can you help please?

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

Please let us know if you find the culprit else we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Hello,

Could you make sure that your images have an aspect ratio of 2:1 with minimum dimensions of 300×157 or a maximum of 4096×4096 pixels? Also, images must be less than 5MB in size. JPG, PNG, WEBP and GIF formats are supported.

Hello,

thanks for the reply.

The images are 1024x576px (16:9 aspect ratio which is the recommended dimension for my theme), jpg, and less than 70kb per image.

I have other websites with the same 16:9 aspect ratio and images are shown correctly when sharing on twitter. So I don’t know why it is not working now.

Hello,

It seems your Twitter card is showing like it because it is using the meta tag twitter:card = summary tag found.

I tried to log in the website and try to test some settings but it seems the login link already expired, could you check it?

In the Rank Math settings under “Titles & Meta” the Option for Twitter Card Type is already set to “Summary Card with Large Image”: https://ibb.co/FYyw0pb

Hello,

I have checked it and it seems your settings in Rank Math are fine but they are being overridden by another plugin. I see the meta tags added by Rank Math as you wanted but after that, another plugin also adds its own tags (with the wrong settings), that is why you have the issue.

You should try to determine which plugin is doing it (or maybe even the theme) and after that contact the developers to ask them how to disable that function so you can use it without issues the settings you want.
