Translate schema via WPML ATE and Avada Builder

We currently use Yoast Premium, and I am running some tests on our staging site to see if we can switch to Rank Math.

    Our setup:
    Avada theme
    Avada Builder editor
WPML (using ATE, their advanced editor mode), translated from English to 7 different languages.

    User case:
On specific pages, we have some FAQs with schema markup added as a code block at the bottom of the page. Unfortunately, WPML can’t read these code blocks, thus we can’t translate the schema to the translated languages.
As we are using Avada builder, we can’t use FAQ blocks that Divi/Block Editor uses. So we need to add the schema for these FAQs in some other way in Rank Math to get it to be translatable in the WPML ATE translator.

My first idea was to add Multiple Schema Markup Types via Rank Math. But this requires me to upgrade to Pro, to even test it. I can’t seem to find the FAQ type in Free?

Please, can the above be achieved with RM Pro?
Summary: I want to add FAQ Schema to a page and a requirement is that the Schema can be translated via WPML’s ATE translation tool.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

I can’t seem to find the FAQ type in Free?

Yes, the multiple schemas and predefined FAQ schema options can only be accessed in the Rank Math PRO version:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/faq-schema-block/#schema-generator

WPML should also translate the FAQ block’s content. If it isn’t, please make sure that you have enabled the WPML SEO Glue plugin:

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

Sorry, but it seems that you have not understood the question. And we are using the WPML SEO Glue plugin.

First, we are NOT using the Avada FAQ element to add the FAQs. The FAQ texts on our site are made with a Avada Toggle element.

Second, to add schema to these FAQs, we add an Avada Code Block element that contains the schema markup with script tags.

If we were to change from Yoast to RM, we need to know that there is a way for us to achieve the following:
Goal: Add FAQs with schema markup, using the Avada Builder, and the Schema must be translatable via WPML’s ATE editor.

Could you set up a sandbox environment for us to test this before we purchase RM Pro?
    That is, an install with:
    Avada (registered)
    WPML with two languages
    RM Pro

Or if you could just let me know how I could achieve the goal as previously explained.

    Hello,

You cannot translate the Schema markup from our plugin with the ATE feature of WPML because each Schema markup has a unique identifier that associates the markup with any given page and to translate you would need to duplicate the markup from one language to the other which would duplicate the identifier.

The only way to achieve this for the Schema markup would be to manually add the translated text of the questions and answers to a FAQ Schema type using the Advanced Schema Generator in the PRO plugin.

Since the Avada Builder doesn’t have support for any block to add the Schema such is the case with Gutenberg or even Elementor, this feature will only work with manual translations.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
