When I have RankMath activated, text linking does not work in my blog posts. It temporarily was fixed when I disconnected and reconnected my RankMath account, but on further inspection, the issue persists. How can I address this problem. I am happy with RankMath, but I can’t use it if I can’t link inside my posts.

Hello,
Apologies for the inconvenience.
Could you please confirm if you’re using a page builder on your site? If so, please share the name of the builder.
Meanwhile, to verify if the issue is with the latest version, you can try rolling back to the previous version of Rank Math and check again. Here’s a link for more information:

I use the divi theme and builder. I assume that I’m using the latest version of rank math because I just activated it this week.
Hello,
We are not able to replicate the issue on our end. In this case, can you please share a screencast with us by using a tool like https://loom.com so that we can check this further for you?
Meanwhile, please follow this guideline to check if any of your plugins/themes are conflicting with Rank Math: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/
Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hello,
Thank you for your support. I did as you asked and created a Loom, where you can see (with RankMath) that when I attempt to link text to an affiliate partner, the link will not be accepted. If you continue watching, I then deactivated RankMath, and the linking worked just fine. I really do like RankMatch for all of it’s other attributes, but if I can’t figure out this linking issue, I may have to go back to SEOPress or another SEO plugin. Please let me know if you can help me resolve this issue. Thank you!

Hello,
We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
So, I have downloaded that plugin, and it seems very straight-forward, but after I enter an email address (I’m using my own), it processes for a moment and then tells me, “You have not created any temporary logins yet.” I’m not sure what I could possibly be doing wrong. Do I need a rankmath email address? Additionally, I am unsure how to locate my FTP credentials, and when I ask ChatGPT, it seems very complicated. Is there any other way to address this?
Hello,
You can follow the guide to create the temporary login URL: https://www.storeapps.org/create-secure-login-without-password-for-wordpress/
Then use s******@r*********** as the email for the temporary login.
Once you are done, please share the generated temporary login URL with us in the designated Sensitive Data section. Then delete the temporary login URL after we have been able to resolve the issue.
You can request for the FTP details from your host if you are unsure on how to locate it.
Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
We tried replicating the issue but adding the link seems to be working fine even with the Rank Math plugin enabled. See the video screencast here: https://i.rankmath.com/v/blLOHI
Can you please try doing it using a different browser? It could be just an extension that may be hindering the functionality of the editor.
Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you for looking into this. I tried again and still had the problem. However, I was trying to link to Expedia (who was a new partner around the time I added RankMath) so perhaps I need to address the problem with them. You are correct that linking to a site like Wikipedia did, in fact, work.
So I guess for now, I will just say thank you for your time. I really am enjoying RankMath, so I’m happy to see it is not a problem on your end.
Many thanks for your time and effort.
John Buckley
