    Good day support!

    Please, i want to find out some information from you.

    My website (Ridersstage.com) is currently targeting the United States. I mean the blog contents are focused on the USA.

    But I am now thinking of targeting Nigeria and the United States with the blog content. The niche is about ride-hailing . The countries I want to focus on are USA and Nigeria.

    Please, is this possible for me to achieve?

    Would google search engine understand my content, focus, and country targeting?

    I set the country targeting to USA; what if I change it to Worldwide?

    Please advice as I don’t want to make mistakes.

    If you’re thinking of reaching out to other countries, the best way would be to create a multi-language website. By targeting a specific language, you can also rank in other countries (such as Nigeria) and it will let Google know the best place for your website.

    Thanks for your response.

    My website is not a multi-language website. Both countries (USA & Nigeria) use English as their official language.

    The question is the niche I am working on can address/meet the needs of Americans and Nigeria.

    How can I tell Google that certain content is for the USA or certain content is for Nigeria?

    Can Rankmath tool for targeting countries address the issue?

    Hello,

    The best way to do this is to target country-specific keywords and create your content around them. If your content is optimized for a country-specific keyword then it has more chances to rank in that country.     Another tip is to think about where your website is hosted. If you host it on a server in the same country you’re targeting, like having a Nigerian server for the Nigerian audience, it can give you a little boost. Also, having a website address that ends in “.us” for the USA or “.ng” for Nigeria can tell Google right away about the country you are targeting.

    Thanks for your response. I think I understand how to do keyword research.

    My question is, since I want to target 2 countries, Nigeria & the USA. If I am using Rankmath content AI, could I switch countries?

    Sure, I will target country-specific keywords and create my content around them. But hope I will not have an issue with Google understanding my website.

    Hello,

    Yes, you can switch the countries in the content AI feature.

    However, please note that changing/switching the country will deduct a credit since we send a new request to the API to get the data from the selected country.
