Table Of Content Not Working On Single Page Template

Table of contents doesn’t work when adding it on a single page template. It only displays the header “Table of contents” on each post without the actual content.

Also I saw on your YouTube tutorial that I should be able to create a reusable block from the Table of contents and be able to easily reuse it on all my posts. This is also broken.

Table of contents not working on single post template

    Hello,

Thank you so much for raising this concern and bringing it to our attention.

We have identified this as an issue and our developers are currently working on a fix for it.

We will notify you when an update is available – either beta or the stable version.

Really appreciate your patience with this in the meantime.

    Hello,

This is still not working… The table does not display if the Table Of Contents was added to the Single Post Template.

    Hello,

Please make sure that you haven’t excluded any headings from the block settings and from the Global Settings:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/table-of-contents-block/#num-3-2-exclude-headings
    https://rankmath.com/kb/table-of-contents-block/#global-settings

Also, please note that only the headings added using the default Headings block of the Gutenberg editor will be included in the TOC.

If the issue still persists, then we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

I created an InstaWP site and was able to replicate the issue. Please check the Sensitive Data section for the login details.

    Hello,

We have tested this on the staging site you shared and it seems to be working fine now. We are able to add the TOC block directly to the page and tried the reusable block for the TOC as well.

Please refer to the video screencast I inserted in the sensitive data section.

Looking forward to helping you with this one.

    Hello,

We have replicated this on our end. Allow me to share this with our developer.

We should get back to you shortly with an advice.

Thank you so much for your patience.

    Hello,

We just wanted to let you know that this is not an issue but it’s like this by default.

Our TOC block cannot be used on single post templates and that is the intended behavior. It can only be used on reusable blocks.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
