  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear about the sudden drop in impressions on your news blog. This can be concerning, but we’re here to help.

To investigate this further, I recommend checking the SEO Performance graph in Rank Math. You can select the Impressions metric and set a timeframe to see if there has been a significant drop in impressions over the last 4 days. Here’s an example of what you should look for:

    Impressions in SEO Performance

If you notice a downward trend in impressions, it could indicate that your website is now being shown fewer times in search results than earlier. This could be due to various factors, including changes in Google’s algorithm.

Additionally, you may want to check the Total Keywords and Average Position metrics to see if there have been any changes in the number of keywords your website is ranking for and the average position of your website’s pages.

Please review these metrics and let us know if you notice any significant changes. If you need further assistance, feel free to ask.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Here are some reasons why your site might be experiencing a decline in impressions on Google.

    1. Seasonal Fluctuations: Certain industries or topics experience natural fluctuations in search volume throughout the year. If your website or content is related to a specific seasonal trend or event, it’s possible that the decline in impressions is due to a decrease in search interest during this period.

    2. Algorithm Updates: Google frequently updates its search algorithms, which can impact the visibility of websites in search results. If there have been recent algorithm changes, it’s possible that your website’s ranking has been affected, leading to a decline in impressions.

    3. Technical Issues: It’s important to ensure that your website is properly indexed by search engines and that there are no technical issues preventing Google from crawling and indexing your pages. Check for any errors or warnings in Google Search Console that could be affecting your site’s visibility.

    4. Competitor Activity: Increased competition from other websites or changes in their SEO strategies can impact your impressions. If competitors are optimizing their content better or generating more relevant backlinks, it could lead to a decline in your own impressions.

To identify the specific reason for the decline in impressions, it’s essential to analyze your website’s performance, conduct a thorough review of your SEO strategy, and monitor changes in search trends and competitors. You can use this guide to run an SEO audit on your site: https://rankmath.com/blog/seo-audit/
