Strip Category Base - Support

Hi, Once I installed the plugin I set the Strip Category Base option to ON but I switched it back to OFF now and the URLs are still not showing the product-category. Do I need to make changes somewhere else in order to get the product-category to show again in the products URLS?

The Links Strip category base option will only affect post categories. Please navigate to Rank Math > General Settings > WooCommerce and ensure that the remove category base option is disabled as shown below:

That’s what I did and said. I switched it back to OFF but I still don’t see the product-category in the URL slug.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

Hi there,

Thanks for the follow up.

I can see that the strip category base is still turned on and when I deactivate it, the category name is displayed on the URL like so https://domain.com/shop/בגדים-לגברים/פולו/פולו-קצרה-פרחונית-עם-כיס-דמי-תפר

Please share one of the affected product category links so that I can check this issue for you.

OK, can you activate it again? When I try it shows like its ON but nothing changes on the site.

What doesn’t it actually turn on or off when I make the change in the settings? What am I missing?

Hi there,

I have enabled the setting once more.
Please note that you need to modify the strip category base option located on this path Rank Math > General Settings > WooCommerce > Remove category base
