Hi,
When editing the snippet for the Social media, it doesnt reflect (tested on Facebook). It just shows the page title (example: Home) instead of the text we have inputted.
We have debugged via Facebook’s Sharing Debugger but it still doesnt work. I’m not sure if Ive done something in the Rank Math settings or not, but it normally works?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
I checked the homepage source code and I see there’s 2 og:title. The one that Rank Math generates has title “Gumawa — We specialize in scaling brands with pay monthly websites and marketing” while the other which generates og:title has “home”. This is what you are seeing in the Facebook. Would you please check which plugin you’ve installed that is generating the OG tags?
If you aren’t able to find, then please run this troubleshooting guide : https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/
Looking forward to helping you.
Hi,
I am not running any SEO plugins, do you think it is coming from my theme (Bricks Builder) SEO settings, when editing the page?
I have taken a screenshot but unable to attach it here.
The odd thing is, this was fine not so long ago, but now it doesnt work.
If you’re experiencing issues with the snippet not reflecting correctly when sharing on Facebook, there could be a few reasons for this. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
1. Confirm the meta tags: Check if the necessary Open Graph meta tags are present in the HTML source code of your web page. Specifically, look for the “og:title” and “og:description” tags that define the title and description for social media sharing. You can view the page source code or use the “View Page Source” option in your web browser to inspect the meta tags.
2. Clear cache: Sometimes, caching plugins or server-side caching can cause outdated information to be displayed when sharing on social media. Clear any cache that may be active on your website, both at the plugin level (if applicable) and on the server.
3. Use the Sharing Debugger: As you mentioned, you’ve already used Facebook’s Sharing Debugger, but it’s worth revisiting to ensure you’re receiving the most up-to-date information. Enter the URL of the specific page you’re having issues with and click “Debug.” Check the preview section to see if it reflects the correct title and description. If it doesn’t, review any warnings or errors provided by the debugger, as they may provide insights into the issue.
4. Check Rank Math settings: In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the Rank Math settings and ensure that you have the correct settings for Open Graph tags. Look for options related to title and description formatting and make sure they are set up properly.
5. Theme compatibility: Verify if your Bricks Builder theme is fully compatible with Rank Math and the Open Graph tags. You can reach out to the theme developer or check their documentation for any specific instructions or known issues related to social media sharing.
6. Disable conflicting plugins: Temporarily deactivate other plugins, especially those related to SEO or social media, to see if there are any conflicts causing the snippet issue. If the problem is resolved after deactivating a particular plugin, you can investigate further or contact the plugin developer for assistance.
If the issue persists after trying the above steps, you may need to reach out to Rank Math’s support or consult with a developer familiar with the specific theme and plugin combination you’re using. They will be better equipped to troubleshoot the problem and provide a solution tailored to your setup.
Hi,
For some reason (as previously spotted in this thread) there are two meta tags for the og:title
The correct one, which is the information from RankMath that we have manually entered.
Then further down the <head> tag, right at the bottom. There is another og:title which is just the page name.
Now, this used to work, nothing has changed, only updating the theme and your plugin.
If I diable all plugins (including RankMath) the standard og:title which is just the page name is still there.
As I said, could this becoming from the theme (I can send you a screenshot of where I think it is coming from but I am unable to attach it here)? But, like I said, this used to work, the only thing that has changed is updating the plugin and the theme (https://bricksbuilder.io/)
Hello,
As you’ve already ran the plugin conflict test and yet the second meta is displaying, then it must be coming from the theme.
Normally, every theme has the option to turn OFF the schema generation. Please look if that option is available in the theme or not. If not, I would suggest posting a question to their support forum as they can guide you better on exactly what and where to remove.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Thank you
