Yet google shows the description as “These red diamonds are natural (“earth mined”) and have been treated with high pressure and high temperature (HPHT) to turn the white stone, red. This treatment …”
Obviously this is very different from my intended snippet and hurting my SEO. I wrote and submitted this snippet when I published the blog post so it should not be an indexing issue or site map time lag issue on googles part. This is the same issue throughout the 20 or so pages on my website. I am losing faith in Rank Math to get the job done.

It is a pretty common thing with Google these days. It happens with 70% of the results and we even have a KB dedicated to this problem and a few solutions we recommend:

Please check the KB and you will understand the reasons Google does this.
Google has made some changes to their algorithm which automatically changes the titles, discarding the one you have set in your SEO title meta tag. This happens regardless of the SEO plugin you are using. We have covered this Google update here:
