Hello!
I have a small problem that I have tried to solve through tutorials and looking for information, but I can’t find the solution.
I am creating a directory of companies and when creating the entries or tabs of each company it does not save the snippet data.
I work with wordpress and on website pages or blog posts there is no problem.
Forgive my lack of knowledge and thank you very much for being there to help in any way possible.
Regards,
Raquel

Hello,
Thanks for contacting us, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Can you please follow the steps mentioned in the guide below to see if that resolves the issue for you?
https://rankmath.com/kb/meta-data-not-saving/Besides, you may share your site URL with us. So that we can check as well.
Looking forward to helping you.
Hello!
I’ve seen the manuals and there don’t seem to be any conflicts…
Although I suspect it’s a directory issue…
I feel a bit awkward…This is the site URL

RaquelHello,
You’re welcome and thank you very much for your kind words.
If the Rank Math snippets are still not saving, then we suggest you while saving the data please keep the browser console open in the “Network” tab and see what is the status code of the following route: https://www.yourdomain.com/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta?_locale=user
You can find the browser console in your browser following this guide: https://balsamiq.com/support/faqs/browserconsole/
If it’s returning any other value than a 200, there’s something wrong with the route and we would request you to get in touch with your hosting provider to make sure that REST APIs are not getting blocked.
However, if it returns 200 status, then we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
I just followed the instructions and when I saw the result I almost fell off my chair…
I’ve never done this before and haven’t seen any 200 values. What I’ve seen have been a lot of other errors when having the console open and a lot of red color…
This is what appears to me in the indicated url:
code “rest_no_route”
message “No route found matching the request URL and method.”
data
status 404So, I guess I’ll have to contact my hosting provider to see if they can help me. If they can’t, then I don’t know what I’ll do because now I’m really lost…
At the moment I can only thank you for the time you have dedicated and the inconvenience you have taken to try to help me, for being so quick, explaining things so well and truly, I think you do an exceptional job.
Thank you very much again.
Hello,
Thank you for getting back to us.
The “rest_no_route” message is normal and it means that the route is valid. If there was any issue with the route, you would have seen a different message saying that your request was rejected or blocked by some security measure/firewall.
The problem looks to be coming from the javascript errors shown in your browser console – could you please share a full screenshot of the errors with us? You can use imgur.com/upload to upload your screenshot and send us the link. This will help us troubleshoot the issue better.
Thank you for choosing Rank Math!
Hello again!!
I have uploaded a screenshot to imgur.com but I don’t know if I did it right…
This is the link:Forgive all the work I’m giving you…
And again thank you very much for all your help.

Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
The snippet seems to be saving fine on regular post types and pages. I tried adding a new Directory page draft in the Directory post type and it is also saving fine. Please check the video screencast I shared in the sensitive data section.
Can you please let us know if this issue is happening on specific pages? If so, please share the URL here so we can check.
Looking forward to helping you with this one.

Hello!
The problem occurs in the directory called “Eco”, (found under comments). That is where I register the companies and the snippet is not saved.
I have copied the url of one of the companies in the sensitive data section.
I am very sorry for the confusion and again, thank you very much for all this help that you are offering me.

RaquelHello,
Thank you for your patience.
We’ve tried saving the snippet with the link you have shared, but it seems to be working fine. Please refer to the new screencast added in the sensitive data section.
Could you please confirm if we’re missing some steps to replicate the issue? You can also record a video screencast using a tool like Loom showing the issue and add the generated link here.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.

Hello,
Thank you for your help, patience and time.
I’ve seen the video and the same thing actually happens.
When editing the snippet it seems to be correct, but when updating it seems that it is not saved, because in the indications it appears that the target keyword is not in the SEO description and under the title it also disappears.
I have shared the link of the video that I have recorded.
Thank you very much for everything, you are great!!!
Hello,
Please note that our plugin shows the description in the preview only when the post type has editor support. You are facing this issue because it seems like your CPT doesn’t have editor support and that’s why the preview is not working properly and the tests are getting failed.
However, the correct description is added in the front end and your metadata is also saved properly. You can confirm that by checking the page source or using a tool like https://rankmath.com/tools/meta-tag-analyzer/
To fix the preview, you will have to enable the editor support from the post type settings of that plugin.
Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.
