Sitemap not working

I’m sorry to hear that you are facing issues with your sitemap not working. To troubleshoot this problem, you can follow these steps:

1. Check for Blank or White Page: Determine if you have a blank or white page by checking the source code. If the sitemap shows a white page but has data in the source code, try accessing the sitemap via this URL: https://rankmath.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Blank-Sitemap.png.

2. Plugin or Theme Conflict: If there is data in the source code, there might be a conflict with another plugin or theme. You can use the Health Check plugin to identify the conflicting plugin or theme.

3. Flush Sitemaps Cache: If there is data in the source code, try flushing the sitemaps cache and excluding it from caching plugins.

4. Remove Static File: In case you have a static file with the same name as your sitemap file (sitemap_index.xml), FTP into your server and remove the file.

This issue is occurring because on your database entries, there are some Unicode characters that are preventing the sitemap from correctly loading.

Please access your WordPress database and check the table wp_options. You’ll notice entries like blogname with Unicode characters instead of the correct characters in there.

To be more specific, you may take a look if you find a similar entry like Sveaförsäkring in the option_value column. Here is an example below for your reference:

Please try to replace this entry with Sveaförsäkring, and then the sitemap should start working fine again.

We have fixed this issue on your site.

So we flushed the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast: https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp and also excluded the sitemap from getting cached in your caching plugin by following this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/#wp-fastest-cache

The sitemap now open and validates correctly.

If the issue persists, please clear your browser cache and check again.
