Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Please try to follow the steps below and see if that works for you:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp
2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/
Once done, clear your website cache and resubmit the /sitemap_index.xml
in the Search Console.
Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hi @Jitendra
I Tried the methid you share but its not helping me. Is there anyway?
Hello,
Can you please share your sitemap URL with us so that we can check the issue further for you?
Meanwhile, please try to add the following filter on your website and then try to resubmit your sitemap on GSC and see if that works for you,
add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');
Here’s how you can add filter/hook to your WordPress site: https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/
Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hi Siam,
This is the sitemap that is actually create issue : https://dizz.com/post-sitemap.xml . I just add filter in function.php file. And yeah i increase the number of post in sitemap from 200 to 1000 and resubmit the sitemap but again issue there same issue in GSC.
Hello,
Please note that Google crawls small-sized sitemaps faster. With this in mind, Rank math uses the links per sitemap limit to break down sitemaps into smaller parts.
You can also check Google’s guidelines for sitemaps:
https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/sitemaps/build-sitemap
Please set your Links per sitemap between 200 and 500 as recommended.
Regarding the issue, please remove all your submitted sitemaps and resubmit your /sitemap_index.xml only to your Google Search Console.
Once done, give Google some time to recrawl your sitemaps. You can monitor the “Last read/crawl date” column in the sitemap index as it will update the date when Google crawls your sitemap.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
I tried that too but it’s not working. There is issue with Rankmath that’s why today i install yoast because it lost most of my traffic due to this issue.
Hello,
We deeply apologize for the issue.
If you prefer, we can check this issue further. You can re-enable back the Rank Math plugin and allow us to investigate the issue further.
Another troubleshooting option is to check if your website has enough server resources to generate the sitemap. Please get in touch with your web host and ask them to set at least the following values:
PHP Memory Limit: 512M
Max input time: 150
PHP time limit: 120
PHP max input variables: 1000
Looking forward to helping you.
