Hi, I use rank math to upload sitemaps to Google Console. At first, it says it couldn’t fetch in Google Console. So I changed the URL with advice on your support pages and tried multiple ways. However, the sitemaps either couldn’t fetch or with 0 discovered pages. Thank you.

Why Google Search Console Shows Zero Discovered URLs Through Sitemap? » Rank MathHello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
One direction on your suggested answer says: Ensure the Sitemap is Located in the Root Folder
If you manually created the sitemap, ensure it is installed in the root folder of your WordPress installation. That means there should only be one forward slash between your domain name and sitemap path, as shown below.I have a /index.php/ in the sitemap URL. How can I change this URL without changing other URLs on my website?
Hello,
From your screenshot, you have submitted different versions of the sitemap and sub-sitemaps.
Please remove all of those and submit your main sitemap index only: https://orealgard.com/index.php/sitemap_index.xml
Also, your sub-sitemaps are showing that they are coming from AIOSEO. Please ensure that you don’t have any existing XML sitemap files in your root directory.
Then, follow the steps to flush the sitemap cache:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/Hope that helps.
I deactivated AISEO. Cleared all sitemap URLs in Google Console. Then did as said in your video. Excluded caching in the Cloudflare plugin. Then I added the only sitemap URL in the Google Console. It says “Couldn’t fetch”. Can you help me with this?
Hello,
If the issue still persists, then the index.php added to your URLs can be the root cause for this issue.
You can remove the index.php from your URLs by navigating to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks and removing the index.php from your permalink structure.
But, please note that it will change the permalinks structure of your URLs as well. After doing the changes, ensure that your URLs previous version are redirecting fine.
There’s also a possibility that your site was briefly unavailable when Google tried to access it. In this case, you can remove the sitemap from Google, wait a few minutes, add it back, and let us know if it works.
Hope that helps.
Hi Reinelle,
I tried another method to upload a URL without index.php. I can open the sitemap and the links are right. However, Google console has some problems in reading this link. It says 0 discovered pages. How can I resolve this question? Screenshot here https://imgur.com/OmtcUB1
Hello,
Please note that each time Google uses a sitemap to find a URL, the count of the Discovered URLs increases by one. Sitemaps is only one of the few methods Google uses to discover your URLs.
When the count of the Discovered URLs is zero or does not match your actual sitemap in your Google Search Console, it means Google didn’t use the sitemap to find the URLs.
It mostly happens when you have good internal linking or use the Instant Indexing plugin.
Here’s a link for more information:

Hi Reinelle. It says the sitemap was submitted on Dec 14, 2023, and last read on Dec 17, 2023. The discovered page stays 0. Is your explanation valid in this case?
Hello,
Your posts and pages are already showing on the search results page. You can also use the
site:
operator to view your indexed URLs.If the Search Console is still showing zero discovered, then Google didn’t use your sitemaps to discover your URLs.
You should check or monitor your Google Search Console coverage section instead to determine any issues reported on your URLs:
