Hi Team Rank Math,
I hope everything will be fine with you.
From the 20th of July 2023, my sitemap is not crawled by Google crawler in the Google search console. When I try to resubmit it shows “Could not fetch”. Check here: https://imgur.com/a/odhttAH
Even sitemap urls are working fine and are also allowed to crawl by Google.
I also try to add with /?sitemap=1 but it also did not work
I’m using Rank Math SEO plugin and the sitemap is generated by Rank Math.
Kindly help me to fix it
Regards,
Hamza

Hello,
Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.
We checked your sitemap and it seems to be loading fine at the moment.
Please follow the steps below:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/3. Apply the following filter code to your site.
add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');
Here’s how you can add filter to your WordPress site:https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/
You may also refer to this guide to help you address the issue:

Hi Jeremy,
Thank you for your kind response
I did all these things but still same error
Kindly note it down, this issue appears when I add my site on Ezoic. I also contact with ezoic team they requested to contact you (Rank Math Team).
I’m using Cloudflare but after adding the site I integrate Cloudflare with Ezoic. After all these settings i clear the cache from Ezoic also but things remain the same.
Kindly help me to fix this issue
Regards,
HamzaHello,
We’ve checked your sitemap and we can see that Googlebot is encountering a 403 error while trying to access your sitemap. Please check the screenshot in the sensitive data section for your reference.
If you’re using any Firewall and security plugins, please make sure that the sitemap is accessible to the Googlebot or you can get in touch with your hosting provider and inform them about this issue.
Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hi,
Thank you for your kind response.
As i mentioned before i added a site on ezoic then this issue appear. So, i contact with ezoic support team and here is their reply
” This typically happens when Google isn’t able to access the URL because there’s a rule setup to disallow any crawler not coming from the Googlebot IP, which when integrated with Ezoic is masked by Ezoic’s IP range. You will need to check any rules you have setup in robots.txt or within the plugin you’re using to generate the sitemap that prevents crawling access unless the Googlebot IP is present and update it.”
Kindly help me to unblock these ips and resolve this issue
I’m looking forward to hearing from you
Regards,
HamzaHello,
Our plugin doesn’t handle the blocking settings of our sitemap. We only configure the accessibility of the bots via the robots.txt and we could check your site that the robots.txt is not disallowing your sitemap.
The issue comes down to your server blocking our sitemap. I would suggest checking this one with your hosting provider to address the issue and whitelist our sitemap:
You may refer to this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/whitelist-rank-math-in-cloudflare/
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need my assistance with anything else.
Thank you for your response
My hosting provider replied that this issue does not appear due to hosting. Also, my other sites are added on the same hosting but no issue appears with their sitemap.
If I share Cloudflare access with you can you help me to fix this issue?
Looking forward to hearing from you
Regards,
HamzaAlso here is my Ezoic support team response
“Hi, Rankmath isn’t completely compatible with Ezoic. I’d recommend disabling Rankmath and using All In One SEO instead for your sitemap, as this wouldn’t cause a 403 with your sitemap or robots.txt file, since All In One SEO is compatible with Ezoic. I’m confident this will fix your issue”
But one of my firend using Rank Math with ezoic and there is no any issue
Kindly help me to fix it so i can continue with Rank Math pluginHello,
Thank you for your patience.
You can visit this thread to check your Cloudflare settings if it’s blocking the Google bot to access your sitemap:
https://community.cloudflare.com/t/allow-google-bot-with-rules/504109/10Alternatively, you can check your
.htaccess
file if there’s a rule there that could be the root cause of this issue. You can try using the default WordPress .htaccess file as well for troubleshooting. Here’s the default file: https://wordpress.org/support/article/htaccess/Please create a copy of your current .htacess file for backup before switching to default .htacess. You can also get in touch with your web host for assistance as it is a sensitive file.
Let us know how this goes.
Thank you for your kind response

Hello,
In this case, you can share your Cloudflare login in the sensitive data section.
Please also share your WP dashboard login here as well so we can take a closer look at it.
Looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hi Jeremy,
I have shared my website & Cloudflare login details in the sensitive data section
Kindly check it and help me to resolve this issue
Regards,
HamzaHello,
We tried adding the WAF and Page Rules but unfortunately, we aren’t able to pull it off and due to time constraints, we can’t further check the issue.
We strongly suggest checking with Cloudflare support instead as they should be able to properly add the rule to unblock Googlebot from accessing your sitemap pages.
As far as the Rank Math settings go, all the configurations are correct in our plugin, it is just your server is blocking the bot, hence, the fetch issue on GSC.
Looking forward to helping you.
