Site Map Error Inquiry

Hi, I haven’t been able to create a Google Search console index since I got my adSense approval in early January.

I recently watched a YouTube video, saw the rankath data, solved the problem, and passed the robots.txt blocking.

However, we found a problem that the index was still not generated, so we tested the site map that we added to the plug-in.

However, I checked the message that a site map error is occurring.

My site map is as follows.

I wonder what the problem is. Please help me out of the crisis. I beg you.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I tested the website and saw that you are using custom sitemap. It’s showing an error “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.
“. Though we don’t need the stylesheet for Google to go through the sitemap, but it’s advisable to use only one sitemap.

Rank Math is also generating a sitemap at this location “https://singaporelegalmoneylender.com/sitemap_index.xml”. I would suggest removing the custom sitemap and let Rank Math generate the sitemap for your website.

The robots.txt code looks fine if you use custom sitemap. If incase, you want to use Rank Math’s sitemap, change this line “Sitemap: https://singaporelegalmoneylender.com/sitemap.xml” to

    Sitemap: https://singaporelegalmoneylender.com/sitemap_index.xml

Or, remove the robots.txt file and Rank Math can generate that as well.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you

You’re having trouble getting your website indexed on Google Search Console even after fixing the robots.txt issue. You added a sitemap using a plugin but it’s showing an error message when you checked it.

Check the URL of your sitemap and make sure it’s correct and accessible. Double-check the contents of your sitemap to make sure it contains all necessary URLs for your website.

Use a sitemap validator tool to check if there are any errors in your sitemap. Try submitting your sitemap to Google Search Console manually if everything seems in order.

If you’re still having trouble, consider reaching out to Google Support for further assistance. Good luck!

Hello. Thank you for your reply.

I have a question about the answer. The site maps you are currently using are as follows.

    https://singaporelegalmoneylender.com/sitemap.xml

I’m inquiring because this is wrong at the moment. Is it okay to delete the existing one and change it as below?

    https://singaporelegalmoneylender.com/sitemap_index.xml

    Hello,

Yes, it’s perfectly safe to delete the sitemap https://singaporelegalmoneylender.com/sitemap.xml and let Rank Math generate the sitemap at the other URL. Please be advised that Rank Math automatically generates the sitemap, so you don’t have to do anything.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you
