  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Both versions of your robots.txt (WWW and non-WWW) are working, and should not cause issues on your site. However, if you wanted to redirect the non-WWW version, then you may need to apply a redirect in your .htaccess file:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-redirect-non-www-urls-to-www/

You can also get in touch with your web host for assistance since the .htaccess is a sensitive file.

Regarding the sitemap, each time Google uses a sitemap to find a URL, the count of the Discovered URLs increases by one. When the count of the Discovered URLs is zero or does not match your actual sitemap, it means Google didn’t use the sitemap to find the URLs. It mostly happens when you have good internal linking or use the Instant Indexing plugin.

Here’s a link for more information:

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

Alright, thanks for your response but another thing is they are not indexing my links.

For instance, https://www.virginsound.net/videos/simi-stranger-mp4/ in GSC it is available to google but when I search for it it won’t chow up at all even when I use site:https://www.virginsound.net/videos/simi-stranger-mp4/, it says “Your search – site:https://www.virginsound.net/videos/simi-stranger-mp4/ – did not match any documents.”

    Hello,

I’ve checked the page using the site: operator, and it seems to be showing fine

    site

Please clear your website’s cache and let us if the issue still persists.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

Yes but without using the site: operator, the webpage won’t show even if I search from the indexing first page to the end unless I use that site: operator or add my website name at the end of the search term

    Hello,

That won’t show as there are no specific keywords you mentioned. It’s good to remind that Google indexes your URLs for keywords, not for the URLs.

Here’s how you can search specifically for your site with the site: operator and keywords:

Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you.

What I am trying to figure out is why would google deindex my URLs. For instance, the keyword “fazzy prayer point” it is only my website that used to rank for it because it’s only me that has a page about it with the URL https://www.virginsound.net/mp3/fazzy-prayer-point/. But now, even searching the keyword “fazzy prayer point virginsound,” it won’t still bring the page out in SERP.

Meanwhile, the page is very much available and resolves quite well without errors.

    Hello,

Ranking on SERPs is more than just the use of a plugin. The true fact is, on search engines like Google depends on so much more than just on-page optimization. You could have the “perfect” content, and still, struggle to make it to the top 10 results in SERPs (search engine results pages). Mostly SEO depends on the strategy you make to push your site for ranking on search engines.

Since your site URLs are already indexed and not ranking well, you can follow this guide to see if there are any notable SEO factors you’ve missed out on somehow and needs to improve them:

Also, please note that there are many factors besides on-page optimization that have an impact your Google ranking. Here are some of the factors Google considers when ranking your website:
    1. Your website’s authority
    2. Your content’s quality and how better it is than the other article currently ranking.
    3. How competitive the keyword is.
    4. How many backlinks you have and if they are better than what the other guys ranking for that keyword have.
    5. Your website’s crawlability.
    6. Frequency of new content and content updates.
    7. So much more that there is a dedicated blog post on it by Brian Dean
