hello Rankmath support team, I have just received a mail from Yandex webmasters claiming my site has no robots.txt file. This is how their mail read, (Hello, c************@g********!

The robot couldn’t access the robots.txt file of the https://www.trendske.co.ke site or the file doesn’t exist. Because of the lack of instructions and indexing parameters, unwanted pages can get into the search.)
Kindly help me solve this problem because it can affect my website in negative way. Thank you!

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Your robots.txt file is opening fine without any rules to block the Yandex search engine:
    https://www.trendske.co.ke/robots.txt

You can also validate it using this tool:
    https://technicalseo.com/tools/robots-txt/

If the Yandex webmaster scans your website files for a physical robots.txt file, then you can create a static robots.txt in your root folder and include the same rules we recommend that is currently showing.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.
