    Rank Math free

    Hello!

I’d love to connect Rankmath and my google account and am still learning how, however, it seems when following the instructions, the area under analytics to convert to a Google Analytics 4 account is grayed out. We already have a google search console account and I’d prefer not to lose that data.

What would I do to allow rankmath to use my current account and convert it to G4?

    Thanks!

  • Hello!

I apologize for the inconvenience you are facing while trying to connect Rank Math with your Google account and convert it to Google Analytics 4 (GA4). To allow Rank Math to use your current account and convert it to GA4, please follow these steps:

    1. Enable the Analytics Module: Head over to WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO and activate the Analytics module.

    Enable the Analytics module

    1. Connect Rank Math with Google Services: Go to Rank Math SEO → Analytics → Connect Your Rank Math Account if you haven’t already. Choose the email account you want to connect with Rank Math and grant all the necessary permissions to connect with your Google account.

    Connect your Rank Math account

If the area under analytics to convert to a Google Analytics 4 account is grayed out, it might be due to certain settings or permissions. By following the steps above, you should be able to connect your current Google account with Rank Math successfully.

Thank you for raising this concern, and I hope these steps help you resolve the issue. If you need further assistance, feel free to ask!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for the trouble this issue must have caused you.

From your description of the issue, it appears you connected your Google Search Console account with Rank Math via a domain property (sc-domain:yourdomain.com) rather than a URL prefix. We do not support domain property. Also make sure you verify the correct version of your website on the Google Search Console (HTTP or HTTPS, www or non-www).

To fix this issue, you need to make sure that you have connected a URL-prefix property to Rank Math. You can do this by following these steps:

    • Go to your Google Search Console dashboard and click on Add Property.
    • Choose URL-prefix and enter the full URL of your website. Make sure it matches the one in your WordPress settings.
    • Verify your ownership of the property using any of the methods provided by Google. Rank Math can help you verify the property, follow this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/google-site-verification/
    • Navigate to Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics and Click on Disconnect and then Connect again to reconnect your Google account
    • Select the URL-prefix property that you just added and click on Save Changes.
    • More instructions are here: https://rankmath.com/kb/google-site-verification/

We hope this helps you fix the issue. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please let us know. We’re always happy to help.
