Hi. I am facing a problem with the Redirection. I want to redirect a old Post to a new post. The link with a slash redirects but without slash gives 404 error.

I want to redirect http://mysite/oldpost to http://mysite/newpost. Now after adding the source and destination in the redirect, the URL http://mysite/oldpost/ redirect to the new post but http://mysite/oldpost gives 404.

How to resolve this issue. Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Debraj.

    Hi Debraj,

We are so sorry for the late reply. Seems like this ticket got lost somehow.

Please check your .htaccess file. Is it writable by the server?

If not, please ask your web host to make it writeable by the server so that this issue can be avoided by WordPress automatically.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
