Hi Team, one of my site is having issue with redirections as I have changes permalink from https://mysite/yyyy/mm/dd/postname to https://mysite/postname and many of those URLs are redirecting to homepage automatically. When I am trying to redirect them manually by adding 301 redirections to those 89 URLs and they are still not redirecting to the correct URL but going to homepage. please check and guide me with the issue.

  • Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with redirections on your site. It seems that you’ve made changes to the permalinks on your site and are facing difficulties with the redirections.

Based on the information you’ve provided, it appears that you’ve already tried to manually add 301 redirections to the URLs, but they are still not redirecting to the correct URL and are instead going to the homepage.

To address this issue, I recommend checking the redirections set up in Rank Math. You can use the Redirection Debugger to diagnose the issue further and ensure that there are no conflicting or incorrect redirections set up.

If you’re using Rank Math, you can also utilize the Auto Post Redirect feature to automatically redirect posts, pages, taxonomies, and CPTs. This feature ensures that any attempts to locate an old URL are redirected to the new address.

If you’re still facing issues after checking the redirections and using the Redirection Debugger, please feel free to reply here, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please try to use the following regex redirection on your website to redirect all the URLs from /year/month/date/post-name to /post-name:

    Source: \d{4}/\d{2}/\d{2}/(.*)
    Match: regex
    Destination: /$1

Here’s how you can set a regex redirection on your website: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-use-regex-redirects/

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
