Hello,
Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.
There doesn’t seem to be a hint of the plugin being used on your website as seen here:
https://prnt.sc/qHk5PRdwY8ut
However, you can also delete the schema on your pages by removing the schema in the schema tab. You can also learn more about that in this KB here:
https://rankmath.com/kb/removing-schema/
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need my assistance with anything else.
Hi, the schema tab looks a bit different in my wordpress installation than in the KB, but as a test, I changed it for one page from “Article” to “None” and republished the page. This was done yesterday. How long can it take until I see a change within the Search Console (i.e. no double recipe data shown)?
Hello,
The recipe schema is still applied in the page’s source code. Could you please share the difference you are referring to from the schema tab so we can check?
You can upload screenshots using this tool and add the generated link here.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hi,
this is how the schema tab in the post I changed looks like now: https://imgur.com/a/Yn0KgD8
“Nichts” is German for “None”.
Before the change to “Nichts”, it looked like this: https://imgur.com/a/Kx0Wn2M
Hello,
We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
It appears that you are currently using a very outdated Rank Math plugin. The version of Rank Math on your website is currently at 1.0.47.1
while the latest version is 1.0.122
.
We would like to update the plugin ourselves but this may cause some significant issues on your website because your WordPress version is currently outdated as well. Please refer to this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/requirements/
We suggest you update your WordPress and PHP to the recommended version before updating our plugin.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need my assistance with anything else.
Hi,
I tried to update the php version first but that caused the whole wordpress installation to collapse. So I turned it back to the php version it used to be and updated WordPress which (as far as I know at this point) went without problems.
I then tried to change the php version again but all I tried (8.0, 8.1, 8.2) caused WordPress to collapse again when logging in.
An email I received about the first collapse stated that the RankMath plugin caused the problem. I will send details in the sensitive data section.
What is the best way to proceed?
Hello,
If our plugin causes the error on the website, you can temporarily uninstall Rank Math and upgrade to the latest PHP version first. Once the update is done, please install the Rank Math plugin again and check if the website still crashes.
The reason for this might be due to the old version of Rank Math on the site. As we’ve updated our plugin to work with the latest version of PHP.
No need to worry about losing your data as Rank Math will keep all data until reinstalled.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before doing the steps above
We really look forward to hearing back from you. Thank you.
Hi,
I did as you adviced and now all is working with the latest possible php version (8.2).
Also, I only see one recipe meta data in the rich-results test, not two.
Is there anything else that I can do or will my recipes soon be back in the recipe section of the search results?
Thanks for your help!
Hello,
Glad that helped.
We can also see that the recipe schema coming from Rank Math is already validating fine:
https://search.google.com/test/rich-results/result/r%2Frecipes?id=BjJBej7fr7CUBSl3HgzXNg
In this case, you may need to give Google some time to recrawl your post/s and update the search results pages with the schema.
Looking forward to helping you.
