Hello,
We apologize for the inconvenience you are facing with your sitemap. It seems that the deleted page “covid-19-safe-bike-tour-protocols” is still appearing in your sitemap.
To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:
-
Ensure that the page has been properly deleted from your WordPress back office. Sometimes, pages might still appear in the sitemap if they are not deleted correctly.
-
You have already added the filter to disable sitemap caching in your functions.php file, which is a good step. However, you can also try excluding the page from the sitemap using Rank Math’s settings. You can navigate to Rank Math > Sitemap Settings and exclude the specific page from the sitemap.
-
If the issue persists, you can use the Health Check plugin to determine if there is a conflict with another plugin or theme that might be causing this behavior.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, please let us know, and we will be happy to assist you further.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
Best regards

The page was definitly deleted at my server. Health Check does not report any problem.
Of course I could exclude the pages manually but I switched of sitemap at RankMath and installed a Third party sitemap plugin.
Hopefully Rankmath will help to figure out what the problem is and why the sitemap does not update…
Thank you
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to this issue.
We can see that the slug has about 24 entries in your sitemap and these are the various translated pages:

We checked several of these URLs and we can see they actually have content and have not been deleted.

Please kindly check that all the language versions of the pages containing that slug are deleted and also cleared from the trash. Then try to flush the sitemap again.
Let us know how this goes.
Thanks.
Hi Ike,
you are absolutly right. The problem is at my side! We deleted the page days ago, but it seems that the content is in cache – wherever it be….
Thank you for your pacience with me 🙂
“Physically” I deleted the page and emptied trash. But it seems, that the translate plugin keeps it anywhere….
Anyway. Feel free to close the ticket – I will contact the plugin devoloper of Translate Press.
Have a nice day and thank you very much
Saludos
Gerald
Hello,
We are glad we could address your concern.
In addition to contacting the other plugin’s support, you could clear any server-level cache that your site’s server might have. If you are not sure about it you can ask your host provider if there is any.
Please feel free to create a new forum topic if you do have another question in the future.
It will be our pleasure to assist you again.
Thank you.
