Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.
If you have a role that is lower in privileges than the administrator you cannot upgrade yourself to an administrator. That is the intended behavior for the WordPress roles, otherwise, everybody would be able to get administrative access to the website.
In this case, we suggest getting in touch with the person that built the website and installed the plugin and asking him/her to make yourself administrator so you have full access to the plugin settings.
