Hello,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with Rank Math causing 404 errors on your WooCommerce site. It seems that the problem occurs randomly after plugin updates or when changes are made to redirections.
Given the intermittent nature of the issue, it’s possible that there might be a conflict between Rank Math and other plugins or the theme you’re using.
To troubleshoot this issue, I recommend performing a quick conflict check on your website. You can do this by enabling the Troubleshooting mode and then disabling Rank Math to see if the 404 errors persist. If they don’t, you can then try disabling other plugins one by one to identify if any of them are causing the issue.
Additionally, since you mentioned that the problem sometimes occurs after making changes to redirections, it’s important to ensure that there are no conflicting redirection rules set up by other plugins or themes.
If you’re still facing issues after performing these checks, please open a ticket on our support forum, and our support team will assist you further in resolving this matter.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue for you.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to this issue.
We can see that you are using a very old version of the Rank Math FREE plugin (https://rankmath.com/changelog/free/). The most recent plugin version is v1.0.208.1.
Kindly update the plugin on your site.
We hope this helps. Please let us know if you have further questions or concerns.
Thank you.
Hello again! So you know about that problem in the previous versions of Rank Math? Can you confirm that the problem existed before and that you fixed it in the last versions, and kindly provide the exact version that contains such changes?
We have encountered that problem for years already, and it randomly appears after we update any plugins like Woocommerce, WordPress Core, or Rank Math itself. It appears regularly, but not always. We updated that plugin on our other site, which uses the same theme, and still there were cases when categories showed 404 pages. Could you please provide a version or commits where you can possibly present changes regarding that issue?
Can there be any log file that should contain information about such errors if we have debug.log turned off in our WP config? Did you find the actual steps to reproduce such an issue? As I can see, many other tickets regarding that issue from other people were opened but not actually fully resolved.
Hello,
We didn’t replicate the issue in any previous version of the Rank Math plugin. However, we always suggest using the latest version of the plugin because the older version can create conflicts on your site.
Regarding the 404 error, we checked your website and we can see the category and product pages are working properly without any issues. If you face this error again in the future, we suggest you head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks and hit the “Save Changes” button (without making any changes) to clear the permalink cache to see if that works for you.
If that fixes the issue, then we can confirm the error is not related to the Rank Math plugin but your permalink cache.
Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
