Rank Math Not indexing Category or Author Pages

I apologize for the inconvenience you’re experiencing with Rank Math not indexing your category and author pages. I’ll be glad to assist you with this.

To ensure that your category and author pages are indexed by search engines, please follow these steps:

1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard and navigate to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta.

2. In the Authors section, make sure that the Author Archives option is enabled and the Author Robots Meta is set to Index.

   

3. Similarly, in the Categories section, ensure that the Category Archives option is enabled and the Category Archives Robots Meta is set to Index.

   

4. Once you have made the changes, click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.

Please note that it’s generally recommended to have certain links, such as “Misc. Pages,” “Authors,” and “Tags,” set to noindex to avoid duplicate or thin content issues. However, if you believe that these pages add value to your visitors and should be indexed, you can select the respective “Index” Robots Meta tag.

We’ve checked your category page and we can see it is already set to index. Please check the screenshot in the sensitive data section for reference.

But your author archive page is still set to noindex. In this case, please check your author page’s Advance Robots meta in the Rank Math SEO Meta box and make sure it is set to index from there.

Regarding the <li id=”wp-admin-bar-rank-math-no-index” class=”mark-page-as”>, it is a pretty common mistake to open the page source and search for a noindex tag to see if the page is marked as noindex or not.

Rank Math offers a No Index and No Follow option in the admin menu bar, which could show up in the page’s source code when logged in.

The actual noindex tag will be added like this: <meta robots="noindex">
