I’m looking for advice on how to activate the ACF part of Rank Math if the ACF is programmed into our theme files as opposed to installed as a plugin.

In that case, you may have to add the ACF fields in WP Dashboard > Rank Math SEO > Titles & Meta > Listings > Custom Fields to make them readable by Rank Math’s content analysis.
If it still doesn’t work, then you will have to get in touch with your theme’s support and ask them to integrate our content analysis API into their theme: https://rankmath.com/kb/content-analysis-api/

Hello, thank you for the reply. I have Rank Math installed and activated, but when I try to activate the ACF part of Rank Math, it says on the toggle switch “Please activate the ACF plugin to use this module”. Is this not possible? Does ACF have to be installed as a plugin, as opposed to set up as part of our theme?

To use the Rank Math ACF module the ACF plugin has to be installed but in the case that the plugin is integrated into your theme and not naturally installed, then you can follow the steps we previously shared.
