Please note that Google picks and shows the dates that they see in the content itself. This is something an SEO plugin cannot control.
One of the most prominent ways (in our experience), is the date shown by the theme on the page.
Google usually picks and shows the date they see in the content itself and shows it in the SERPs. Meaning, that if you have a visible date on your content, that will be picked up by Google and displayed beside the snippets.
Also, Rank Math automatically adds the datePublished
and dateModified
properties in your structured data containing the date your article was published and last modified. Search engines will access these properties to detect the dates to display on your post.
Rank Math’s sitemap also contains a <lastmod>
tag, which displays the date and time the content was last modified.
