    Hello,i have website where i am embeding videos with direct url to video,i am using wordpress,when i add title and description(around 160 characters) it will not show on google,it will show only this,i am sending you screenshots for better understand,i am hope u can help me.

    The meta description tag you have set is already showing in the page’s source code. To ensure that the meta title and description you have set are already applied, you can verify that using these tools:

    Please note that Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and shows something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.

    Hi,thanks for reply and attempt to help.
    I am talking about posts/pages meta description not homepage,I check with heymeta everything is okay,but google crawling some other text,can you help and suggest what can i do? Will this affect my seo?

    Hello,

    As mentioned by my colleague, our plugin is adding the correct meta description. However, Google can sometimes ignore it if they don’t find it helpful. The length of your description is also too small. We recommend using at least 160 characters in the description. Once done, please wait for Google to crawl the page again and see if they start showing the description you have set.
