Pre-Sales Query

    Rank Math free

Hi – I have rankmath free on my site for several years and I am debating moving to the pro version now.

My main concern is that, currently, I am handling schema via the WordPress Schema plugin – I am concerned that there may be a conflict between rankmath handling schema and the schema plugin.

I have a staging site – if I delete the schema plugin, will rankmath automatically step in and handle the schema mark up?

How would you recommend testing this?

    Thanks

    Keith

  • Hello,

Thank you for considering upgrading to Rank Math PRO and for reaching out with your pre-sales query regarding handling schema markup.

If you are currently using a separate Schema plugin on your site and are concerned about potential conflicts when switching to Rank Math PRO, you can rest assured that Rank Math has a built-in Schema Generator to handle structured data without the need for an additional plugin.

To smoothly transition from your existing Schema plugin to Rank Math, you can follow these steps:

    1. Deactivate the Schema Plugin: On your staging site, deactivate the current Schema plugin you are using.

    2. Install Rank Math PRO: Ensure you have Rank Math PRO installed and activated on your staging site.

    3. Configure Schema Markup with Rank Math: Once the Schema plugin is deactivated, Rank Math will automatically handle the schema markup. You can configure and manage all structured data using Rank Math’s built-in Schema Generator.

To test this transition, you can follow these steps on your staging site:

    • Deactivate the current Schema plugin.
    • Install and activate Rank Math PRO.
    • Configure the Schema markup using Rank Math as per your requirements.

By following these steps on your staging site, you can effectively test how Rank Math handles schema markup without any conflicts with your previous Schema plugin.

If you encounter any issues or need further assistance during this process, feel free to update this ticket, and our support team will be happy to assist you further.

Thank you for considering Rank Math PRO for your website. Let us know if you need any more help or information.

    Best regards.

Thanks – I have just noticed that I currently have schema enabled within rankmath on my current site.

Could this be causing a conflict with the other schema plugin?

Any advice here would be great

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

Usually, that will cause conflicting issues if you use both Rank Math and the other plugin to handle your post and page’s schema.

However, to determine if there’s a conflict, you may share example URLs so we can verify them as well.

Meanwhile, you can use these handy tools to check the schema applied to your site:
