Hello,
Sorry for the unexpected delay and any inconvenience caused due to that.
Please note that the external links are links to other domains, not to the other posts of your site. You don’t have external links in your content, as all the links are for the posts and categories on the same site.
Some posts are showing external links because you have used the non-WWW version for the internal links, while your site URL has the WWW version. Our plugin will treat the non-WWW version as an external domain and will show the links as external links.
So the posts that are not showing the external links, only the internal links are correct. For the posts that shows external links, you should edit the links there and use the WWW version to correct the link counter.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
thanks Jaideep
what happen if i dont change this setting? will affect my rankings? or it’s just a visible thing?
would you show me with a screenshare how can i change those settings?
thanks
Hello,
This discrepancy does not directly impact your site’s rankings but could affect user experience and the accuracy of link statistics.
To resolve this issue, we recommend updating the internal links to use the WWW version, which will ensure they are recognized as internal links. You need to edit the links and replace them with the correct version.
Changing this setting will primarily affect how the links are displayed and counted within your content. It’s more of a visibility and analytics matter rather than directly influencing your site’s rankings. However leaving it as it is, might affect your crawl budget which may result in Google crawling important pages less frequently.
Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
