Possible conflict with WP Product Feed Manager plugin

    Hi RankMath support team,

I’m the developer of the WooCommerce Product feed manager plugin for WordPress (https://www.wpmarketingrobot.com).

One of our users reported a problem with our plugin that might be related to your RankMath plugin.

Our plugin is a Product Feed Manager and the user reports that the feed generation process is not working anymore, but does work when he deactivates his RankMath and RankMath Pro plugins. He has this issue on two different websites.

When I test your free RankMath plugin on one of our test servers, it just seems to work and I can generate a feed normally. I don’t have the option to test with the RankMath Pro version though.

When I check the Feed Generation Report of the user, it seems as if something is blocking the wp_remote_post request that I use to start generating a feed in a background mode.

    My question is:
Is it possible that your RankMath (Pro) plugin blocks any HTTP requests?

    Looking forward hearing from you.

    Best regards,
    Michel Jongbloed

  • Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us and sharing the full information about your initial troubleshooting. We appreciate your effort in resolving this issue.

As we have tried reproducing the issue on our local setup, we can’t seem to do so since it is working fine on both the Free and PRO plugins.

With that said, we are yet to access the user’s staging website so once we have debugged the issue there, we will also update you here.

Again, thank you so much for reaching out to us here to resolve this issue.

    Hi Jeremy,

    Thanks for your reply.

I already had the chance to work on the staging server and as far as I can see it just works correctly on that server.

I don’t think there is any conflict between our two plugins. I noticed the user also uses the Wordfence Security plugin and that plugin is known to sometimes block HTTP requests.

So I gave the user a few steps to put the Wordfence plugin into a “learning” mode and probably that will solve the issue with our plugin.

I will let you know the results of that and if we can close this ticket or if there is still something you could help us with.

    Best regards,
    Michel

    Hi Jeremy,

    Thanks for your help!

In the end we choose to just uninstall the Wordfence plugin as that seemed to block the feed process. After that everything worked correctly so we can confidently say that there is no conflict between your RankMath plugin and our plugin.

Again thanks for your support. I’ll set this ticket to resolved.

    Best regards,
    Michel
