Yes, Polylang is not yet fully compatible with Rank Math. We would need Polylang’s support to make the plugin compatible with theirs.
To translate the meta title and description you only need to edit the snippets inside the different language pages like you would normally translate any other page.
If you open the specific language page you should see the Rank Math SEO Metabox and any values there will be only applied to that specific page.
