Hello,
On google search console the home page is crawlable by the google bots, but unable to be indexed due to a noindex tag in the robots meta tag. Here is what it says for the homepage: Crawl
Last crawl
Apr 28, 2024, 8:56:50 AM
Crawled as: Googlebot smartphone
Crawl allowed?: Yes
Page fetch: Successful
Indexing allowed?
No: ‘noindex’ detected in ‘robots’ meta tag

Hello,
Our plugin is setting the page to index in the robots meta tag. However, there is a second robots meta tag that is set to noindex:
Please follow this guide to figure out which plugin is adding the second robots meta tag and check their settings to fix the issue: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/
Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to your update.
Is there a way to use the troubleshooting mode so that the google search console has the effect too. Because the health plugin says it disables all plugins just for me and not for the whole website. So I cannot run indexing with each plugin one at a time because the plugins will all still be active for the google search console bot.
Hello,
The purpose of the troubleshooting plugin here is to help you determine which plugin is adding the noindex meta tag.
You need to keep activating the plugins one after the other till you find the culprit plugin.
The way the health check troubleshooting mode works, it does not affect live pages meaning the noindex meta tag will still be there till you identify and correct the issue in the culprit plugin.
We hope this helps. Please let us know if you have further questions or concerns.
Thank you.
When I activated troubleshooting mode, the site was still unable to be indexed by googles crawl bots. Isnt this because google crawl bots are a site visitor and wouldnt see the no plugin version of the site? We can provide a temporary login to our site if that would help you find where this no index is coming from.
Hello,
Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
I put the temporary login plugin link into the sensitive data at the bottom. Please use that link to login
I submitted my sitemap link in the search console but it was not fetched. It’s a bug or non-index tag from the rank math for the websites. Please check is any problem with the website or any issue with the plugin.
Hello,
The second robots meta tag is no longer present on the homepage. Please confirm if you were able to figure out which plugin was adding the tag and have removed it.
Looking forward to helping you.

Hello,
Thank you that was very helpful. We did not figure out which plugin it is. Could you tell us how you removed it so we can do that again in the future?
Hello,
We didn’t do anything. The noindex tag wasn’t present when we logged in to the site. It must have been cached. You can validate the fix in your GSC account now and wait for Google to crawl and update the status.
Please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
