  • Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math support. I’m happy to help you with your question.

    The ‘noindex’ detected in ‘robots’ meta tag error means that some of your pages have a meta tag that tells search engines not to index them. This means that those pages will not appear in search results, even if they are crawled by search engines.

    This meta tag looks something like this:

    <meta name="robots" content="noindex">

    You can use this meta tag to prevent certain pages from appearing in search results, such as private or duplicate pages. However, if you want your pages to be indexed and ranked by search engines, you should remove this meta tag from those pages.

    To fix this error, you need to find out which pages have the noindex meta tag and remove it from them. You can do this by following these steps:

    • Log in to your Google Search Console account and go to the Coverage report.
    • Click on the ‘noindex’ detected in ‘robots’ meta tag issue and see the list of affected URLs.
    • Log in to your WordPress dashboard and go to Rank Math > Titles & Meta.
    • Go to the tab that corresponds to the type of page that has the noindex meta tag, such as Posts, Pages, Categories, etc.
    • Scroll down to the Robots Meta section and make sure that the No Index option is unchecked.
    • Save your changes and clear your cache.

    I hope this clarifies your doubt. Please let me know if you need help with anything else.

    Thank you for using Rank Math. Have a great day!
