No links found in Google Console despite sitemap successfully submitted

New site (animalsdiscovery.com) with RankMath plugin installed. I submitted the sitemaps to Google console on 5/29 and they were successfully processed. The pages initially showed as “Discovered – currently not indexed”, but when I requested “validate fix”, it validated but suddenly now under “page indexing” it doesn’t recognize any URLs as not indexed (except for the homepage). The sitemap xml itself seems fine.

Not sure what to do.. currently no pages are appearing as indexed or not indexed, as if the site is empty (see screenshot: https://ibb.co/Gc9hdGp)

Should I remove the sitemaps and resubmit? Any other advice?

  • Hello,

Thank you for your query. We will be super happy to help you with your concern.

You should be able to get more details in your Search Console as shown here:

When you click on pages, what information do you see? Can you take a screenshot of the entire dashboard and not just the graph?

If there is no additional info then please use the URL inspection tool of your GSC account to check some of the URLs and share their results.

    Looking forward to helping you.

I think there must be something really wrong here. I just checked Bing Webmaster Tools for the site (I submitted the sitemaps there also on 5/30), and it’s the same issue happening: the sitemaps successfully loaded but no URLs are indexed. When I search a specific URL, it says: Blocked URL cannot appear on Bing (see screenshot: https://ibb.co/cJ0WPD5)

    Hello,

I’ve checked your site, and it is already set to index. Also, your sitemaps and robots.txt are working fine.

Google assigns a crawl budget to your website depending on these factors (especially these two) and that has a direct effect on how soon or how late your content can get indexed. It depends on a lot of factors. Your posting frequency + the domain authority are just two of the many factors Google considers when indexing some new URLs.

If Google still doesn’t decide to index those pages even after crawling your site again, then there is nothing you can do other than wait.

Since your website is already set to index, then it is just a waiting game before Google decides to include the URL in the search results pages. No SEO plugin can force Google to index something they don’t want to.

With that said, we have found that barring any issues like copied/DMCA/low-quality content issues. So, we request you kindly wait for the SERP to include your site to search results pages.

    Thank you.

Hi, I don’t mind waiting but your answer is ignoring the major point: the URLs are not appearing as “not indexed” in the Console. It’s like Google can’t even see them. And in Bing there is a message saying they can’t be indexed because they’re blocked. Please advise.

    Hello,

Checking your website closely, we don’t see any issues on-page that will hinder it from getting crawled or indexed by the search engines.

Please refer to the screenshots below as I have tested your website on Google and Bing bot and it wasn’t blocked or anything:

Since everything is working fine on our end, the only thing you can do is wait for search engines to discover all your links.

If the issue persists, you can contact Google and Bing support and ask what stopping them to discover or crawl your pages.

    Looking forward to helping you.
