Hello,
I apologize for the issue you are facing with the image alt tags not being registered in Rank Math. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
To ensure that your image alt tags are properly recognized by Rank Math, please make sure that you have added your Focus Keyword as the alt text for the images. Both the singular and plural versions of the keyword are considered when performing this test.
If you have already added the alt text with your Focus Keyword and it is still not being registered, please check if the alt text is correctly set in the image settings. You can refer to the following steps based on the editor you are using:
-
Block Editor: Click on the image, go to block settings, and add the Alt Text in the Alt Text area.
-
Classic Editor: Click on the image, open the image settings, and add your desired Alt Text in the Alternative Text field.
If the issue persists after ensuring that the alt text is correctly set, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.
Thank you for your understanding.
Hello,
Could you please confirm if you’re using a page builder on your site? If so, please share the name of the builder.
Also, please share here the affected URL so we can check.
Looking forward to helping you.

Hello,
Please ensure that you’re Rank Math and Elementor plugins are already updated to the latest version.
If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
All the images on the page are added as background images. Please note that our plugin detects the images using the IMG HTML tag in the post_content. The background images are added using CSS and are not part of the main content. That’s why our plugin is not able to detect the images or ALT text.
Even search engines don’t consider background images when crawling the content.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
