Most of the important blog posts suddenly disappeared from Google search

    Hello

I noticed this morning that most of my blog/article posts have disappeared completely from Google search results. I checked Google Search Console and found no issues there: the pages are indexed and should be showing up on Google. No manual actions are applied nor security issues found.

The post, where you can find some link below, was still ranking #1 or under top 5 yesterday (bringing lots of traffic) and still this morning it had no visitors through Google search. Now, when I do for example the site:mydomain.com test on Google then some of the article showing and some the article not showing, these blog posts is not showing up at all and missing from the results.

I have now requested indexing through Search Console after this issue appeared. Test live url looks good and there should be no issues in terms of that.

But the main question would be: is this something that I should be worried about? Of course it’s really annoying as this blog post was the second best single page on our website in terms of driving traffic to the site.

  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear about the issue you are facing with your blog posts disappearing from Google search results. It can be frustrating when important content suddenly vanishes from search rankings.

Based on the information you provided, it seems like you have already taken some steps to address the problem by checking Google Search Console, confirming the indexing status, and requesting reindexing for the affected URLs. This is a good initial response to try to resolve the issue.

Since you mentioned that there are no manual actions or security issues detected, and the pages are indexed correctly, it’s possible that this could be a temporary fluctuation in search rankings. Google’s algorithms can sometimes cause fluctuations in rankings, and it’s not uncommon for pages to temporarily drop out of search results before reappearing.

I recommend monitoring the situation closely after requesting reindexing through Search Console. Keep an eye on the performance of the affected blog posts over the next few days to see if they reappear in search results. If the issue persists or if you notice any other anomalies, feel free to reach out to our support team for further assistance.

Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention, and we appreciate your patience as you work to resolve this issue.

If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please let us know.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We checked the URLs and we can see they are still indexed on Google and appearing on SERPs. Please check the screenshots in the sensitive data section for your reference.

Regarding the ranking of your pages, please note that Google brings a new algorithmic update several times a month and the chances are great that your website got hit by that. The recent update from Google was on May 6, 2024: https://rankmath.com/google-update/site-reputation-abuse-update/

In this case, please refer to the following guideline on how to confirm that and fix it: https://rankmath.com/blog/google-algorithm-update-recovery/

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.
