Mismatch in permalinks of Rankmath and Wordpress ones - Support

Hi,

Need a help

I copied few of my WordPress Pages and changed the details including permalink of them to new ones. But RankMath still holds the original “old permalink” only. Its not refreshed with new ones.

For example – my actual webpage permalink that’s set in RankMath is

https://www.actouch.com/manufacturing/food-beverage-erp/

But what RankMath still HOLDS is the OLD link as “medical-devices-software” and is what shown in “rank_math_permalink” field.

How to refresh this data?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for the delay and for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

For initial troubleshooting, go to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > General, and make sure that the “WordPress Address” and “Site Address” have the same setup.

Meaning both URLs have the same exact protocols. They should be matching and not have a mismatch.

Then, please try to clear Rank Math’s transient. Head over to your WordPress dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools > Remove Transients:

Once done, clear your website’s cache and check again the permalinks

Thanks. I tried to follow the steps mentioned by you. But still I hv the same issues.

Hello,

Our plugin no longer uses rank_math_permalink meta key for posts and pages. It is only used for the authors. The meta key must have been imported from the Yoast, and since we don’t use it, it isn’t updating with the new values. Can you please confirm if there was an issue when importing the data from Yoast or if it was completed successfully?

However, you can remove the meta key or ignore it, as it will not be used for any functionality of our plugin. You can check the permalink section of our plugin’s snippet editor to confirm that it is showing the correct slug:
