Migrate Schema from Yoast to RankMath

    Hello,

I have a lot of How-tos, FAQs, and Related Posts schema from Yoast. When I did the migration with your tool, not all the schema was migrated from Yoast to RankMath. I have over 100 posts with Yoast schema, and it will take me a long time to do this migration manually. Is there a way around this?

I initially tried to do this myself and noticed these errors, so I reverted my website back as I thought I had done something wrong. So I paid a freelancer to do it for me, and he has run into the same issues, and now I’m left a bit stranded.

  • Hi

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Can you tell me what errors you have encountered while migrating?

Please head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Import & Export > Other Plugins and try importing all data from Yoast again. See if you are still having the same issue.

We also have a Guide that you can follow on how to migrate FAQ and HowTo Schema Blocks that might help you with your issue: https://rankmath.com/kb/yoast-seo-migration/#yoast-block-converter.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have gone through the process again this morning, and again not all the pages are converting across. I have tried this multiple times and also paid someone to do this and it doesn’t work.

Also, some of the how-tos have converted, but they don’t recognise the image that’s already in the step.

What can I do with related posts schema?

It’s common for some schema data to be left behind during migration, especially when dealing with a large number of posts. However, there are a few things that you can try to make the process easier and more efficient.

First, I recommend checking if the migration tool that you used has any updates or patches available. Sometimes, these updates can address issues with schema migration and improve the process.

If that doesn’t work, you can try using a different migration tool or plugin that specifically addresses schema migration. Some popular options include the Schema Pro plugin, WP SEO Structured Data Schema, and All In One Schema Rich Snippets. These tools can help you migrate your Yoast schema to RankMath in a more streamlined way.

Another option is to hire a professional developer who specializes in schema migration. They can help you identify any issues with the migration and manually transfer the data to RankMath, saving you time and effort.

Regardless of the method you choose, it’s important to take the time to ensure that your schema is correctly migrated to RankMath. Schema markup is an essential part of SEO and can significantly impact your website’s visibility in search results.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello,

Thank you @muzamilsafeer for your input.

@louiseelizabeth, before we can conclude on whether your how-to and FAQ schema is importable, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Thank you for the details in the sensitive data area. I have asked a developer to check why some of the Yoast FAQ blocks are not being converted to Rank Math blocks. We will close this ticket and continue on the other ticket you opened about this issue (https://support.rankmath.com/ticket/migrate-schema-from-yoast-to-rankmath-2/?view=all).

    Looking forward to helping you.
