Link Count seems wrong

    Hi, new customer, site I am analyzing is http://www.swinkylife.com.

    The Link Count for the home page is showing 0.

    I added two new links to partner sites on the home page, and it still showed 0.

    I re-ran the analysis, and it still shows 0; AND it used another credit. Since I was just researching the same keyword on the same page again, to see if my fixes helped, my understanding was it should not have used the extra credit.

    So my questions are…

    1. How is link count being calculated? Why does it still say 0?
    In addition to the two outbound image links I just manually added, the “Most recent blog posts” carousel, which links internally to all of our blog posts, should be a cpl dozen links there; and then at the bottom of the page is our live instagram feed, with another dozen links out to IG posts.

    2. How should I check if fixes work without burning the rest of my credits?

    Loving the entire system so far, just want to understand this part so I can get maximum results as fast as possible.

    Also, can you please tell me where my name and avatar got pulled from, because both of those are wrong, but they are my partner, so I am wondering how they got attached to me.

    To update your shown name, head over to your account dashboard and change the Display name: https://rankmath.com/my-account/edit-account/

    Then to update your profile image, head to the Gravatar website and log in:
    https://gravatar.com/

    Regarding the links issue, Rank Math’s link counter only counts links that appear in the default post content area and does not count links that are dynamically added dynamically or with custom code.

    Rank Math counts each link separately even if the URL has already been linked to/from the same post/page. The internal and external links are counted only if they are inside the the_content section of the page.

    Please note that links on any other part outside the the_content section are not counted. Also, the link counter that shows in the pages’ backend only shows the number of links in the actual page content and excludes the footer, sidebar, and any other widgets.
