Is the logo essential for SEO?

    I had removed the logo from the menu, as I didn’t see any benefits. But it was within the hamburger menu.

    Many competitors use the logo leading to the homepage.

    This gives an additional internal link to the homepage. I removed the logo to avoid excessive use of double internal links.

    If I don’t use a logo with an internal link to the homepage, can I have bad rankings on the SERP and poor crawling by search engine crawlers?
