Incorrect http header content-type

    Hello dear Rankmath Team,

    on xml-sitemaps.com I’m getting the errormessage Incorrect http header content-type: “text/html; charset=UTF-8” (expected: “application/xml”). And the google search console has also problems with the sitemap of rankmath.

    My website is https://webwirbel.de

    – I flushed permalinks
    – flushed also the sitemap settings
    – sitemap is excluded from caching
    – I added this filter to the functions.php of my child theme:
    add_filter( ‘rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching’, ‘__return_false’);

    Then I used the Health Check Plugin to switch in the troubleshooting mode. When trying to activate Rankmath, the message came up that there had been an error on activating.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

    This error appears when the server expects an XML sitemap during validation. But instead, it has received a response of a different content type, which could be an HTML, 404 error, or perhaps the server itself blocked from accessing the sitemap.

    Blame and shame on me: On the Sitemap-Checker I didn’t give the full URL to the sitemap… So the sitemap is correct.

    But:
    The google-search-console tells me, that the sitemap can be read, but is containing errors in the page-sitemap and in the post-sitemap: “This is not a valid URL.”

    When I examine the sourcecode there seems to be a problem with images:
    <image:image>
    <image:loc>http://on|100%|100%|100%|100%</image:loc>
    </image:image>

    Why ist there a http and not https on some URLs? I checked for mixed content, but couldn’t find anything.

    Hello,

    Usually, this happens when you are using the Blurb feature in Divi.

    If that’s the case, we recommend that you contact the Divi team and ask them if they have a solution for this where these BG images of blurps are not included in the sitemap.

    The functionality of Rank Math being able to see Divi images and adding them to the sitemap was added by the Divi team and that is why it is recommended that you contact them directly.
