Image Alt/Title Not Working

    Hi,

    I installed the FREE SEO version to evaluate functionality. I tried something simple and it is not working. I enabled AND configured RankMath SEO -> Images -> “Alt Attribute Format” AND “Title attribute format” as follows:

    Alt Attribute Format: “TEST – %title% %sep% %sitename% %sep% %tags%”
    Title Attribute Format: “TEST – %title% %sep% %sitename%”

    Results for a SINGLE product page:

    Alt Attribute Format: “TEST – Greys Mirror – Vegan Home New York, LLC -”
    Title Attribute Format: “102JOJRM-1086-mirror-1”

    Below is the actual HTML code:
    TEST - Greys Mirror - Vegan Home New York, LLC -

    Note that with the “Alt Attribute Format” NO TAGS were provided. However, there are tags associated with this product AND they are displayed on the page as: “Tags: Champagne Silver, Glass, Handcrafted, Havant-Greys, Irregular, Metal, Mirror, Oval, Silver, Wood”

    Note that with the “Title Attribute Format” the filename is provided but that was NOT configured as an option, so why is it present? Also, why isn’t the configured info provided: “TEST – %title% %sep% %sitename%”?

    Please advise.

    Hello,

    The %tags% variable will only work for regular posts. If you wish to make use of product tags, try using this variable instead: %customterm(product_tag)%.

    As for the incorrect title attribute, can you please try clearing your cache and checking the image again?

    If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.
