I cannot connect to google services

    Rank Math free

Whenever I go through the setup wizard I cannot proceed beyond the analytics stage. Initially nothing appeared in any of the boxes, but after trying some of the solutions I read about in other tickets and on other websites such as add a google DNS record to the domain, it now shows sc-domain:”website”.com. However everything else still says no results found or is greyed out. I’ve also tried using different browsers, using private browsing, disabling other plugins and removing and re-allowing Google permissions.

  • Hello,

We’re sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues connecting to Google Services in the Rank Math setup wizard. It seems like you’ve tried several troubleshooting steps already, including adding a Google DNS record to the domain and trying different browsers, private browsing, disabling other plugins, and re-allowing Google permissions.

Based on the information you’ve provided, it seems like there might be an issue with the connection between Rank Math and your Google account. To further diagnose and resolve this issue, we recommend testing the connections within Rank Math’s settings.

To do this, please follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Analytics.
    2. Click on the Test Connections option at the top right of the Analytics settings.

Here’s a screenshot to help you locate the Test Connections option:
    Test connections

After clicking the Test Connections option, Rank Math will validate the existing connections. A green signal indicates a valid connection, while a red signal indicates a glitch in the corresponding connection.

If you see a red signal or encounter any issues during this process, you can try reconnecting your Google account by following the steps provided in the Rank Math settings.

Here’s a screenshot to help you locate the Reconnect Google account option:

If the issue persists even after reconnecting your Google account or if you continue to see a red signal when validating your connection, we recommend reaching out to our support team by opening a support ticket here and sharing the error log with us.

We hope this helps resolve the issue. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to let us know.

    Hello,

For troubleshooting, you can skip the Google connection process in the Setup Wizard.

After completing the setup, head over to your WordPress dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics and reconnect your website to your Google account.

Also, please verify using the URL prefix and ensure that you have verified the correct version of your website on the Google Search Console (HTTP or HTTPS, www or non-www).

    Prefix

You can follow our guide here to create the URL Prefix property:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/google-site-verification/#num-1-1-open-google-search-console

The URL-prefix property also helps keep your sitemap in sync with Google Search Console as we submit it automatically for you. In addition, the domain property won’t work correctly on some sections of the Analytics module such as the IndexStatus.

Let us know how this goes.

    Thank you.
