hi,
My WP Settings:
WP 6.2.4
1. I had Yoast plugin insalled
2. I installed your plugin and selected to import data from Yoast
3. I then went through the setup and basic configs
4. I disabled YoastIssues found after:
1. i got a warning “Seems like your site URL has changed since you connected to Rank Math”
2. i clicked the option to update ..and it CHANGED MY WP’s Site URL from “https://VisualSitemaps.com” >> https://www.VisualSitemaps.com”
This change was no longer editable in the Admin > General Settings.I followed your instructions here to fix it.. and it did not fix it.
3. This Sitemap URL also stopped working
https://visualsitemaps.com/page-sitemap.xml
1. How can i ensure that your plugin wont change my SITEURL?
2. Do I need to upgrade to the latest WP for your plugin to work?

Hello,
I’m sorry to hear about the issues you are facing after installing Rank Math on your website. Thank you for providing detailed information about the problem you encountered.
Based on the information you provided, it seems like your site URL was changed after connecting to Rank Math, and you are experiencing issues with your sitemap URL as well.
To address your concerns:
-
To prevent Rank Math from changing your site URL, please ensure that both the WordPress URL and Site URL in your WordPress settings match. You can navigate to WordPress Dashboard → Settings → General to verify this. If they do not match, it can cause connection issues. You can refer to this guide on how to fix the ‘Site URL Has Changed’ warning for detailed steps.
-
Upgrading to the latest version of WordPress is always recommended for compatibility and security reasons. While Rank Math should work with your current WordPress version, updating to the latest version can help ensure optimal performance and compatibility with the plugin.
If following these steps does not resolve your issues or if you have any further questions, please feel free to reply here, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to resolve these issues for you.
Best regards,

Hello,
Thank you for your patience.
We’ve checked your page sitemap, and it is opening fine
If it’s still not opening on your end, follow these steps to flush your sitemap cache:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/Hope that helps.
Hello,
Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.
To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/Here is a video you can follow as well:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2cOnly the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
If the issue persists, please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

1. I did all the troubleshooting and NOW. for some reason the Page XML now works fine…BUT!!
2. Just in the last 24hrs of Server logs it show 3-times the fatal error.
This tells me this issue is unstable and temperamental as I have not done any changes in the last 24hrs here is the link the log screenshots: https://capture.dropbox.com/kWv7CyVNEyfDdYCZThis is the 2nd time this issue randomly comes up as working/not-working. and this time on a NEW WP Host!
I hope you can run some tests and see what is going on. *the DB is backed up.
thanksI just checked again..and now the page throws an error again.. for no reason: https://visualsitemaps.com/page-sitemap.xml

Hello,
We’ve checked your website and we can see the
Uncode
theme you’re using on your website is conflicting with Rank Math. Please check the screencast in the sensitive data section for reference. It looks like the theme is changing some image settings on your website and that’s why you’re also facing the fatal error on your error log.
In order to resolve this issue, please get in touch with this theme support and inform them about the issue.
To temporarily solve the sitemap issue, you can disable the “Images in Sitemaps” option from WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings > General.
Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you. Thanks for that temp fix tip.
I will contact the theme’s dev team.
cheersHello,
