    Hi,

I really wanna avoid 301 redirects, and <link rel="canonical" href="https://www.keto-programs.com/"> in .htaccess gives me a bunch of errors.

So I want to stop Google from Indexing non-www and HTTP with sitemaps. How to do so? Or is there maybe a better way?

Also, I want to remove the 301s from the links added in the sensitive section. Any suggestion on good practice to do so?

    Thanks

    Ben

  • Hello,

Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

The <link rel="canonical" href="https://www.keto-programs.com/"> syntax is not valid in the .htacess file.

I checked your website and all 4 variations of your website are already redirecting to a final version which is the www version.

In this case, you just need to wait for Google to recrawl your entire website and the non-www versions will be removed from the SERP.

As for the 301 of your robots.txt files, we don’t recommend removing their redirections. Say, Google will discover the other variants in other ways and since there’s no redirection, Google will treat it as duplicate content which causes some issues.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need my assistance with anything else.
